A couple of years ago a Pinnacle rep came to my door and pressure me into installing a security system.
Last year I get an email notifying me that DEVCON had partered with Pinnacle and I would be billed by DEVCON. I decided that the security sysem was really a waste of money and tried to deactivate the system.
I was asked who would be assuming the payments; if I were moving, are the person moving in is taking over the payments; If I were moving, I could have the system installed whereever I moved. I would be responsible for the contract regardless and would have to pay the contract off. No one ever told me this when the system was installed and I mentioned that I hadn't signed anything with DEVCON.
At this point, I was told that Pinnacle and DEVCON was the same company and I couldn't deactivate the system.
I mentioned to the customer service rep that this is a rip off. I requested a copy of the contract.
