Doors and related hardware were purchased and paid in full on October 04,2013. Doors were picked up a week later by customer and brought to site for painting before installation (customer responsibility).
When contacted, Home Depot claimed they were waiting delivery of a part (astragal) which is necessary for the installation of double entry doors. Contacted every week for a month and same story. Finally, customer was told, part had arrived and install would be in a week. November 13th, when the doors were to be installed, installer called and said Home Depot had ordered the wrong part (astragal) and were re-ordering it.
The opinion of customer was that Home Depot had been giving customer the run around and making excuses when in fact, the part was not ordered in a timely fashion and then some inexperienced person did not take the time to make sure the correct part was ordered. This is total bad service and negligence on the part of Home Depot and the Door & Window department.
It is almost like this is the first time they had a door installation of this kind. Customer is very upset and feels that Home Depot owes some sort of compensation for such poor service and for such a long delay in providing the installation of a product that was bought and paid for more than a month prior.
