Complaint / review text:
Decided to comment as I needed to vent. Due to a small tree being cut down in front of my apartment, all of the gas and hot water has been shut down in the building.
We were sent an email from our landlord to call National Grid personally to schedule an appointment to get it turned back on. My appointment was scheduled for an 8am to 1pm window. My buzzer went off but when I tried to let the individual in, no one was there. Thinking that this might be the worker, I walk outside and in the commons area of the apartment, no one was found.
I walk back to my apartment and wait for a knock or some type of indication, nothing. Hours go by and I call National Grid for information. They say that the worker came that morning and fixed other apartments in the building but claimed I wasn't there. I was and still am pissed.
National Grid has a policy of providing a call at least twice before claiming that you are not available. I did not receive ONE call. If the individual was here to work, why was there no knock on my door? He apparently was working in the building so it was not like I didn't let him in, I'm assuming they want me to search for him in other peoples apartments!
They can't come back to my apt until tomorrow for an ALL DAY appt. Which means 8 to 12 midnight. I gave my complaints and recommended that they uphold their policy of calling and actually try to contact the individual before moving on.
People have lives and a person who pays their bills every month deserves gas, hot water, and quality service.: (
