Complaint / review text:
I attended Katherine Gibbs 1998-1999 and received a certificate for computer information technology. They did not send me on any interviews, they were always "working on it".
I worked full-time during the day and went to Gibbs at night. I had no choice but to stay where I was. I paid about $20,000.00 because I wanted to advance my career. I heard that the teachers there were not even certified teachers.
I know one teacher who said he worked for a big company and he was head of the computer dept. I know if someone can find out that the teachers were not certified we would definitely have a case. I read somewhere that the teachers must be certified. I called Gibbs who guaranteed me that no matter how long I am away (became a mom) I would always have lifetime training and refresher courses.
I called the school which is now Sanford Brown and was told they don't offer this course anymore, so sorry your out of luck. I am very upset, why should I have to pay to go back to school when the reason I went to this school was because I knew I could always go back. Who has another $20,000.00.
If anyone wants to start a class action lawsuit than count me in.
