Complaint / review text:
I believe this was during the year of 2003, or maybe even 2004. I visited ITT because they had a class called "Computer Multimedia". While getting a tour by one of their "sales" reps, I was informed about how everything was top of the line, and we had so many resources to be able to use, and how flexible the schedules were, so that you could get to class and have a job. I signed up, and everything changed.
Upon getting into the first day of class, we are told that the schedules are 5 hour days, 3 days a week, and that due to certain teachers' schedules, we had to take classes on a certain 5-hour block, which did not meet my or their definition of "flexible schedule".
We had a teacher who was from the Far East, who did not know English too well, and would constantly miss-grade, misinform, and even just not communicate to us in a form we could understand. The class went by so slow, due to people having to continually ask him to repeat things, as they were unable to understand him.
We had another teacher who showed up maybe 2 times during the semester, the rest of her classes were subbed by other teachers who happened to be in at the time, though they had no clue about the content they were teaching, thus making it almost impossible to learn anything when you ask them a question and they can't find it in the book.
All those were major problems, and then what finally broke the camel's back was the announcement, after about 2 months of going to classes, that this was their first time ever trying a "Computer Multimedia" type course, and that this was "all new to them". After hearing that, it made plenty sense as to why I had not learned a single thing I already did not know from High School Computer Science classes.
I dropped out and have not paid them a single penny since. I do not want them to get any of my money, but the loans are now past default, and they are saying they will start deducting from my paychecks.
This might have been a great school to learn electronics and maintenance of said electronics; But this was not a school prepared to offer its students anything in "computer multimedia". I had made friends in that class that I still keep up with, and they all left shortly after I had. It's sad that it took that long to realize such a problem, and even more sad that I could be without money due to their negligence and how hard it is for a consumer to fight for their rights against such a company/corporation.
