Complaint / review text:
My wife has done a lot of searching to find a university in the USA that she can study at. She has studied at the University of Tasmania, and has nearly completed a Bachelor's Degree.
She contacted Kaplan as a way that she might be able to study online, and found that maybe her hopes had been realised. She was told that she would be able to transfer her credits with "no problem".
Recently we have discovered that she would be able to complete her UTAS degree via distance (at this point she had put 5 1/2 years into a triple major). Again we received a call from the Kaplan representative, and when told that my wife would be able to complete her degree, told her summarily that she should not complete it, but to drop the nearly completed degree and come to Kaplan, and they would get her a "proper degree" from an "accredited university".
By the way, the University of Tasmania has been around since 1890 and is internationally accredited.
Honestly, after the rough treatment my wife has received, I would not attend Kaplan if they hog-tied me to the desk.
