University of Phoenix= Fraud!

Complaint / review text:
I attended the University of Phoenix, Axia College, online and received my Associate's degree in psychology. I began my bachelor's degree right after and had to drop my classes because of some personal issues.

I have to admit that I did drop the same classes twice. My financial counselor had me fill out a waiver so that I would not be charged for the 2 weeks I spent in the class for both circumstances. I filled it out and faxed it back to them. I did not re-enroll in any classes and now they are charging me $1080 for the classes that I only attended for 2 weeks.

But I thought that the waiver I filled out took care of that? He even confirmed with a telephone call that he did get it and was taking care of it so I dont have a balance. So after learning that they disregarded those waivers because I didnt re-enroll with them, I decided to go with another online institution. So when I called to request my transcripts from my AA degree, they informed me that they would not send me or any other institution my official transcripts because I had a balance on my account.

So now that I owe in excess of $25,000 in student loans, I might as well have never even attended college because I cannot prove it because they lied about financials. And to think: I recommended friends and family both to them!!!
