Complaint / review text:
I inquired about Strayer at the Charleston, SC location in December 2012. After their lack of knowledge, I decided that this is not a school I wanted to attend. I never registered for any classes or took any placement tests at all; I only added them to my FAFSA but deleted them in 2012 after registering with another college which I now attend. After completing my spring semester in my new college, I registered for my summer semester and was told that I could not receive loans because Strayer had my loans pending and were to be dispersed in April 2013 for their spring quarter.
I am confused because I never registered for anything. I was also sent an email in December that explains that because they did not receive payment, I would have to register again, which means I was never a student here. This was after I cancelled all loans or at least thought I did. The financial aid officer made me fill out a paper that was incorrect and never filed the paper to cancel my loans. Now I am stuck because they could not properly do their job. After more investigation, I found out that I am now magically enrolled in their spring quarter which I did not sign papers for or have any knowledge of because I have been currently attending another college. I have printed out all their emails and information in case it’s deleted, and I am looking to take legal action for them falsifying information to receive aid. I was never enrolled, and I never attended the Charleston, SC campus.
