Complaint / review text:
I enrolled in Kaplan in 2009. Everything went very well at that point. I was able to get my Associates Degree in Accounting. So I decided that I would go back and get my BS in Accounting. That’s when all the problems came into place. They made me re-enroll; I wasn’t even out of school for a full two months. Then all the financial aid problems started to occur. I was giving them everything they asked for in a timely manner but for some reason it was always getting lost. So the financial aid office says... Now I am in my senior year. I need 24 more credits then I will be done.
Well I don’t have any money to finish school. They told me to apply for the Kaplan Choice Loan. Well I did that and I was denied. So they said you have to pay $300 and we will resubmit your application for the loan. I still haven’t heard anything and I just want to graduate so that I can get a better paying job. I have missed out on some many great opportunities because I don’t have the degree. I just don’t understand how I have over $60,000 in loans for an undergraduate degree and my sister has a master's and she is nowhere near that far in debt. Can someone please help? Something is not right with this school.
