Samsung advertise that their Samsung S4 Active is water resistant as can be seen below. My son, drop his phone in shallow water less than 30cm deep. He specifically chose the Samsung S4 Active because he is a Civil engineer and he needed a phone that will withstand events like this. He, immediately after dropping the phone in the water, opened it up took the battery out and put it in rice, but the phone was still damaged.
I took it to Vodacom that told me that I must go to Samsung, which I did and they just told me that they do not fix phones with water damage and that the damage is for my account. I was at Samsung's offices in Century City.
Please assist. Samsung refuses to fix the phone. Below is the policy from their website.
