I called Dish network to cancel due to them dropping Fox News. (We mainly watch Fox News, The Five, Hannity, Gretta, and the O'reilly Factor.) We told him we don't want dish any longer due to them dropping Fox News, the main channel we watch.
The guy told us there would be a 85 dollar early cancellation fee. My mother told him she is on a fixed income and they broke their contract by cancelling what we pay for. He put us on hold and came back 2 minutes later and said he would waive the cancellation fee. Then we were transferred to someone else out of no where. This guy was literally yelling at my mother telling her to just wait, they will get Fox News back eventually And the other employee can't waive the early cancellation fee.
My mother then asked to talk to a supervisor. He said it would be a 72 hour wait. Then she told this guy "you have to have a supervisor there to talk to", and eventually we went to the 3rd guy, supposedly the supervisor. He said it was impossible to waive the early cancellation fee and we should just wait until they get Fox News back.
She advised him that's not happening. My father almost 70, has been sitting in the car outside in the cold listening to Fox News on satellite radio in the car and she wants Fox News back. She advised the supervisor that she is on a fixed income that they need to waive the cancellation fee. She was told he wouldn't do it and there would be a 17 dollar per item fee to return their equipment. Also there is no place to drop this stuff off, yet there are dish retailers all over in my town where I could drop this equipment off at.
This has got to possibly be the worst business we have ever dealt with.
