I purchased an Acer Aspire laptop in December 2008. I bought a full service contract for $200, for 2 years. The value of the laptop is $800 and change. I called coverage warranty and I was told by the warranty department that my warranty is effective until November 2009. I was told to sent the laptop to RadioShack and they would send it to Acer for repairs. The Acer laptop was sent on June 1,2009 to the Acer company for repairs. I called them on 2 occasions to find out what was taking so long for the repairs. They had my laptop in service for 21 days.
I went to the store to find that my laptop was defective even more than what it was when I sent it there. They made more damages to my laptop. The monitor was off with its hinges, there were screws missing, the rubber stopper was missing. It had scratches all over the laptop that were not present when I brought it to RadioShack. Also the computer was never worked on at the Acer company. It still has the same problem when I sent it. I loaded the laptop at RadioShack to see if they fixed it and it was still in Safe Mode. So they never fixed anything. When I loaded it, when I opened the laptop, pieces of the laptop were barely falling off, and also the monitor was sticking out the screen. I didn't bring it in like that. They need to repair it to its laptop specifications or replace the laptop at their cost.
