TWC ran all the lines for our home when we started service, and from the start we had weak internet and intermittent cable service. 4 separate service tickets were issued with no resolution (including one repairman who drove the wrong direction up a one-way street in front of our house). Our modem was replaced twice. After service call 2 we bought our own modem and were told on call 3 that it must be the issue. DVR box stopped functioning (call 3 along with modem problems) and they failed to send a replacement box. We were told they could drop one off to us next week. Service call 4 TWC finally replaced the line from the house to the pole, apparently a COMMON issue that 3 previous techs failed to check. We had water in the outside lines interrupting service.
Our multiple calls and failing service warranted a whopping $50 credit on over a year's service issues. We cancelled service for 3 months to attempt to lower our bill and when we restarted they informed us we had an outstanding bill for unreturned equipment (the DVR box and modem WE PROVIDED). We returned the DVR as we were only restarting our internet service and were still charged $300 to start service. The serviceman who turned our internet on drove up, reconnected our wiring and never so much as knocked on our door. We had to call to see if our service was connected 4 hours past service ticket time. Sadly, TWC is the only cable internet provider for our area. Highly disappointed and disgusted with TWC service and customer support.
