I had cancelled my service with Charter due to my TV going out. I got a new TV sooner than expected so I called to order new service as Charter rep says just pay final bill of $88 and we can get services going for u. I paid the $88 within a week or so and called up charter. Now they want me to pay for 1 month in advance including $30 reconnect fee... Wow the last rep I spoke to did not mention this. About 5 days later a charter sales rep called offering a deal package.
She said my account was up to date as she didn't see why I would have to prepay for a month. She set up install date and transferred me to a "verification" rep as she then told me "looks as if you have an unpaid bill from 2008 and one from 2011..." I am like wtf is going on? When I had ordered cable last year Charter rep did say I had an old bill that was on my credit just letting me know and he went ahead and got me going and I had cable installed no problem. Seems Charter does not have their crap together anymore.
