I don't usually write about companies but now I am pissed off and disgusted with how Dell has treated me with my laptop. My computer has stopped working again on - 9/6/2015. And this is the second time in little over a year of normal use. I bought a brand new Dell laptop in 03/31/2014 1.inSPIRON 17R -SKU: 3979574 from BEST BUY. Order number:, paid $657.19. And on Apr 23,2015 - my computer stopped working all together and it had to be sent in for repairs costing $159.00 (because the warranty was done - but this happened after 1 year on a brand new computer).
Now it is broken today September 6,2015 - same thing won't turn at all. Been on phone with tech support and they recommend spending another $159 to repair or $260 if it motherboard. I'm done spending money on this laptop. I want a refund or a new computer. I want a new computer or a full refund of my purchase price and repair price as there is obviously something wrong with the product they sold me. This is their response - to keep sending in my laptop for more repairs.
As I stated before there is something wrong when a computer keeps breaking after a year of use - and then again after 5 months of being repaired that has nothing to do with how I used it and it is ridiculous to pay for something that is just going to break in 6 months again. I believe this is not my fault - but the manufacturers fault and should refund my money or give me a new computer. Please I need advice. I know my warranty is up but I have had other dell products and this never happen. I don't want to pay for something that is obviously a manufacturing issue. What can I do? From all the complaints here I'd like to start a class action against Dell. There is more than enough people.
