I wish I would have read before ordering. One star is way too high for this company. Although I did order a Magicjack plus and did get it to work when I thought I was registering the system. I was actually ordering a second Magicjack plus (their website is terrible).
When I stopped the process of ordering the second item, I thought I was safe. However, the next day I received an e-mail stating that my order was confirmed. Also, in the e-mail, it states that to modify the order, reply to the e-mail within one-hour of receipt.
I actually responded within 6-minutes of receipt (just lucky I caught it so quick), asking that my order be cancelled and that it was completely in error due to their online registration system was not working correctly. However, a couple days later, I received a shipment notification of my new product.
I get online in their chat session and speak with 2 different "customer support specialists" (I use the term "support" very loosely here). I am told first that the order can't be cancelled. Then after 20 minutes, I received an e-mail stating that my order can't be cancelled, but their e-mail contains the text from my original cancellation.
Then the second specialist begins to tell me that I never sent a cancellation e-mail, even though their system just minutes prior had sent me the above mentioned e-mail containing my cancellation. Unbelievable. Do not, under any circumstances, believe you will get a fair deal with magicjack. They will take your money coming and going. Again, please think twice before ordering from Magicjack! Do not do it!
The consequences are that even though I followed their e-mail instructions in cancelling my order, I have been charged $73.31. I have to try and catch the UPS delivery man to refuse delivery, or better yet, print out a return form, and then get back on another chat session to process the refund! Unbelievable. The only consequence you will get from ordering from MagicJack is a headache!
