Complaint / review text:
I own a PlayStation 3 40GB console, purchased a few years ago. After the 1 year warranty period, the console started the act up like crazy, resulting in 3 yellow lights and three times that my console had to be sent in for servicing. I have had to pay THREE TIMES to send in a console for servicing while my PlayStation 2, purchased on launch still works perfectly.
Now, this morning when a turned on my PS3 to play some GTA4, to my surprise, once again my console has received yet another yellow light. This, being the forth time this has happened and I will be without a console for another two weeks knowing I will have to send it in, really disappointed me. What was worse is that even though this is the forth time that the console has broken down, Sony still refuses to replace the console and is making me pay for the repairs for the forth time. For the price of all the repairs, I could have purchased a new console.
I am seriously extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service that Sony has given me with regards to my system. This should not be happening with a gaming console, and it definitely should not be happening four times.
Thank you all for taking the time to read and respond. I am very sorry for clogging up the forum with my problems but I feel that this is the only way that Sony will understand my concerns.
