Kroger - Pharmacy shorted prescription

Complaint / review text:
I filled a prescription for Apidex, 30 pills. When I opened the bottle two days later I realized I was shorted by 12 pills. I thought maybe the bottle accidently opened and the pills fell out into the bag so I dug through my garbage and found the bag. No pills were found in the bag or elsewhere. The pill bottle went from the bag to the cabinet, and no one had access to my house.

I called the pharmacy and they said since my prescription is a "controlled drug", they count the prescription twice then initial the bottle. I had no initials on my bottle. They would not even consider that someone on their end might be a thief.

I will count my prescription before paying from now on.
