I will never purchase Norton again. I have used Norton for years now, but this time around will be my last. My computer is brand new, Windows 8.1, all the bells and whistles, and all the space is still available, so it is not that I have limited room for this program. Just opening Norton to run a full scan took 5 minutes for it to respond. The full scan took literally hours to complete. When it was finished I could not close the darn Norton window! I had to Ctrl/Alt/Del to get into the task bar to close it! Something as simple as this tells me that this program has become increasingly unstable.
I have used Norton for 15 years now. I always thought that it was a large program and that all antivirus programs would cause your computer to run slow. That is until I started reading similar stories like mine. I will be uninstalling Norton and purchasing another more STABLE virus for my system. I am now not looking forward to uninstalling Norton based on what I have read from other consumers here. It seems as if that too is a real hassle as well. Shame on you Norton... Seems that you are not concerned at all about your customers, or your reputation for that matter.
