I am currently trying to recover the money for 44 boxes of LA Bars. I joined LA Weight Loss Center with the understanding that I would be allowed to go in 3 days a week to meet one on one with a weight loss counselor. During this time I was successfully losing weight because of the accountability that going in provided. As of November 2008 I was informed that the Center would be closing due to the recession. They did offer their On the Go program. This requires customers (me) to set up a time for a counselor to call, I would have my one on one meeting by telephone, not what I signed up for. Not only does this require me purchase scales, but it also requires me to have internet access, that I don't always have or to fax information to them on a weekly basis to give them my weekly diary.
I have requested that my money be refunded as I am no longer a client due to their closing down. I am out about $450.00 for the boxes of bars. They have offered to sent the bars to me through the mail, but I do not want or need the bars as I am no longer a client. The cost of shipping they suggested was $24.99. I do not want to pay because I would rather have my money back. They are not providing the services that I paid for.
