At age 59, going to the Dentist and Hygienist is not my first Rodeo. I have signed off of Gentle Dental, and in the process of returning to Willamette Dental, with whom I have nearly 20 years of complete satisfaction on file with them. Gentle Dental Overcharges... I. E. A 'Cleaning' is appointed a classification of 'Deep Cleaning', and therefore my insurance does not cover much of that, so I am handed a BILL, due immediately. Having had the need for gum treatments and deep cleanings back in the 1990's, I know what takes place, and I know that Gentle Dental is not performing 'Deep Cleaning', but are CHARGING for it. I do not mind paying for any service be it my teeth or my Car, or my dog... But I really get upset when I am lied to, ripped off, and taken for stupid... Now I am mad.
PLUS: I had a $54 balance owing that had to go on the back burner as a move in my residence swallowed nearly all of my income for 2 1/2 months, to supply 1st, last and deposit etc. Called to pay them off, and they had sent it to collections, = wait for it... AND NOW THE BALANCE IS 3X!!! I paid it and then after all that I have been experiencing, went to transfer to an office closer to my new home, and they told me I would be required to pay the entire office visit amount up front, and would be reimbursed when my insurance carrier paid them for my next "FEW VISITS". And… wait again = when asked how long that would take to pay me back, she said anywhere between 2 weeks to a few months, depending on my carrier!!!
Good Bye Gentle Dental. Please Note, I am not describing or including my actual Dentist that was competent in every way, and very professional and pleasant... I think? After all of the episodes I experienced in a very short period of time, less than 2 years, well, WAS HE ALL of that? Or was he actually one of the PEAS IN THIS FAMILY POD. Ugh... Darn disappointed, and I am not one to fill out these Customer Reviews, until Now.
