Had to go in for a operation. Went through all the trouble to get hospital authorisation for all procedures. After the operation one procedure was NOT paid by the medical aid ALTHOUGH I received an official letter from Bonitas before the operation stating that I have authorisation for the specific procedure number (what is the point of going through the whole process if Bonitas anyway decide to do their own thing at the end???). After receiving the doctors bill I phoned the call center probably 6 - 8 times (go ahead and check your records Bonitas) and spoke to various call center agents - each time saying they cant help me now and they will phone me back (they never did - not ONE!). Therefore I cant really rate the service of bonitas because there is no service. One of the instances I also got into an argument with an incompetent arrogant call center agent who refused to listen to my problem - which forced me to disconnect and go through the whole process again (each time on my phone account).
Bottom line poor untrustworthy service without the smile ;-)
