Honestly speaking I have never had good service from Discovery, discovery has never made me feel like they are going the extra mile to provide a proper service for the money I am paying.
I requested my plan to be changed from the Saver Series to KeyCare Plus last year and I submitted all the documents that were requested by Discovery. I was also requested by Discovery to submit a GP of my choice and I did. I took my son this morning to the same GP, the Dr told me my Medical Aid has not registered him as my GP and I would have to pay in cash or they will not be able to assist me. I then had to contact Discovery at my own cost, I spoke to a Donavan who told me the person that did the change might have forgotten to register my GP. This is always the case at Discovery, the service has always been bad and it seems its not changing, I am even considering moving to another medical aid.
The consultant only made the changes this morning and told me I can pay the Dr cash and claim the money back from Discovery. The explanation I was given that someone forgot to register my GP is pathetic.
