I recently had a vasectomy done at hospital.
About a month before the procedure I called the Bonitas call centre to ask what I needed to do to have the procedure done.
The agent promptly advised that a Urologist could do the procedure and email a list of urologists I could use.
Now after the procedure is done get the Urologist bill which states Bonitas has refused payment of teh initial consultation, because I did not have a referral letter from my GP.
Why was I not informed of this when I called to find out the process. Now I have to fork out almost R400 for the incompetence of Bonitas staff.
This unethical and unacceptable.
So people please always get reference numbers and all info, triple check, speak to 3 agents, before doing anything with Bonitas.
Also now on 2015/03/05 I called the call centre to query this and was told a manager/supervisor Lara would call be back before 11am, but when I call now she is never available.
Where is Bonitas customer satisfaction or respect towards their members?
