I've been waiting over 40 days for a pre-authorization to extract a wisdom tooth. I've spent 6-7 hours on the phone with representatives, the dentist, etc.
Humana is demanding that the dentist first check my health insurance (does not cover dental) to see if they will pay any portion of the service. I've told the dental insurance representative that my health insurance provider has already told me 3 times that they will not cover my dental services. This fraudulent dentist insurance company is obviously hoping that I pay out of pocket before authorizing and paying their portion. I've been lied to, misled, and unable to use my dental insurance.
The rep, Dominique, has been leading me on.
She was supposed to call me back last week to update me and waive the denial letter from my regular health insurance co., Anthem Blue Cross. I would not recommend this insurance company to anybody; it's a fraudulent dental insurance company.
