I am very dissatisfied with the services I got from Medscheme. I changed the medical aid option from Savings plan, to hospital plan in January 2014, and I called their call centre number to find out if the balance owing to me will be paid to me or I would forfeit it, and I was told that it would be paid to me after 5 months. I called them again earlier this month the lady in a call centre said it will be paid via my employer, on the 09.06.2014, I received an e-mail informing me that the they will be making payment to my bank account on the 12.06.2014, but I didn't get it. On the 16.06.2014, I received an SMS saying my banking details were updated, then I called on the 17.06.2014 to confirm which banking details they are having on their system, the guy told me that he can't see them as it showing that its' updating. I received another e-mail on the 19.06.2014 saying they are making payments, yet I didn't get anything. Yesterday (24.06.2014) I called again, the gentleman called Xolani said, the money was paid to my account on the 05.06.2014, but when he confirmed the banking details they used to deposit the cash to, it was an old bank account which was closed long time ago.
