I have never had a worse customer service experience than with CenturyLink.in December, my Internet went down and it took them 4 service calls to finally fix it.
At the same time, I made the mistake of having my DirectTV bill handled by CenturyLink. So, what did they do? They set up an entirely new account, and as a result, I never got a bill. DirectTV cut off my service in January after I hadn't paid.
It took me three hours of calls to both CenturyLink and DirectTV to figure out what happened. I then said I would cancel, so one of their customer service agents said they would give me a $177 credit. She even sent me a confirming e-mail. Here it is February, and I still haven't been credited with the amount.
I've now spent an hour this morning trying to get someone to give it to me. I plan on taking it and then, as soon as possible, switching to Cox Cable.
CenturyLink is simply an awful company to do business with. Don't do it!!!
