I bought into Match.com for a 6 month service. After 2 months I was canceled and received a "violation of Terms of Use" email. No reason was given by Match for the termination. I read the Terms of Use carefully and thoroughly and am positive no rules were broken. Nothing in my profile could have possibly been in violation, and emails sent were cordial and polite. Contacted Match and they refuse any requests for explanation citing protection for their users. What? I wanted to correct any violation if there was any. I requested a refund or prorated refund but flat refusal.

I was so certain they made a mistake. I created another account (and erased my computer cookies just in case) screened it carefully, and signed up again. Within 24 hours the new account was canceled. Again I contacted Match and again no reason was given for termination. Frustrating! Most appalling is they would not issue a refund. Crooked company! No ethics, pure greed. I didn't get to use their services but was charged. It is criminal.

I went to my bank and filed credit card disputes. The bank was helpful in trying to refund my monies but in the long run the bank will NOT reverse the charges. I joined eHarmony as well as another site and have been extremely happy with eHarmony. It has matched me with many great profiles and I'm communicating often. Several resulting in face-to-face dating. Hope you're not reading this too late, like I did. Heed this warning, stay away. Other sites work better. I'd be willing to add to a class action if one is impending.
