EHarmony recently withdrew money from my savings acct. And renewed my subscription for a year even though I cancelled that subscription. A phone call to customer service resolved nothing. They denied receiving a cancellation, refused to let me cancel for the next year, or even for the following year! Apparently, there is a time frame to cancel. She told me the "system will not allow a cancellation". I have to call back on Feb. 2nd, 2014. But even then, I am forced to pay for the entire year of 2014. I do not have confidence that I can cancel for 2015, since they do not acknowledge cancellations and once they have your banking information, they can continue to withdraw funds. I will file complaint with BBB and utilize every consumer advocacy I can find. My wish is for eHarmony to be exposed for its unscrupulous business practices and for consumers to be aware and avoid eHarmony unless they wish no control over their choices.
