I joined Match 3 months ago, one of the options they had was 3 months which seemed like a good enough trial period. To me, 3 months means 3 months and not a an ongoing monthly subscription or continuous subscription thereafter. However, embedded in their terms and agreements (which most people do not read thoroughly) it states that regardless of subscription type you purchase, it will be automatically renewed for the same amount of time once the subscription term ends. This is not explained in their advertisement or as you are going through the subscription process as it should.

But what is more slimy and underhanded is there is no warning that the renewal date is approaching giving you time and opportunity to cancel the subscription. I had cancelled it only two days after the subscription renewal date because I couldn't remember exactly when I had joined and they would not give me a refund. I wanted to cancel for the rest of the summer seeing as I was going away and then possibly rejoin afterwards, but now that I see that not only do they intentionally bury this important fact in their terms and conditions, they don't warn you and won't refund you by a couple of days. I will never use Match again and I hope others take this into account before joining. I wonder how many other people have been mislead by this and if this is ethical.
