When I opened a profile on Match.com, I received numerous contacts. Unfortunately, since I was subscribing, I could not read emails, chat or interact. So I joined. Immediately the attention stopped. The next day, prior to the 3-day refund period ending, the contacts again ramped up. After the 3 days, the profiles were suddenly hidden and I was contacted only by people requesting my personal email, in their initial email, to continue communicating. Once you say no, they disappear and their profiles are hidden.
Match.com does nothing to protect their subscribers. They are not protecting the interest of their customers and refuse to refund money. They run a 6-month guaranty which requires you to send emails. Then they tell you no refund because emails were sent. Their customer service is outsourced so their reps are basically reading the same script that is circulating globally.ineffective to help anyone. I truly feel bad for the very lonely people that Match.com is setting up to be ripped off and harmed by scammers. I'm sure there are plenty. Match will tell you they can't help with fake profiles, but I've been on Plenty of Fish for years and have never run across a fake profile. Shame on Match.com for exposing their customers. Match is as unethical and immoral as most of their subscribers are. Join POF instead.
