I used to have an ABSA Credit card which I paid monthly and awhile back, ABSA stopped sending me monthly statements. I had to phone them regularly to email me my monthly Credit Card statement just like any other provider currently does. I guess it's a monthly reminder to pay my bills.
So eventually after I skipped a few payments, my account got handed over to Norton Lambrianos Attorneys. Up to last week they were threatening me for payments and threatening me with court orders etc.
Did you know that Norton Lambrianos charges you for every correspondence that they send you. R4 for a SMS, R27 for a phone call even if you don't answer, monthly interest on your outstanding fees, a 11.5% collection charge on payments you make on your account, and around R27 when you request a statement.
How the are you supposed to pay them back because the more you pay the more they charge you. I settled my account last week and they charged me R192.24 collection commission.
