Complaint / review text:
I have been a loyal pottery barn customer until my unscheduled delivery resulted in money being stolen. I had purchased a bed for myself to be delivered on 12/24 and a treehouse bed from pottery barn kids for my daughters playroom that was set to be assembled on 12/23. These dates were given to me and verified by email and voicemail messages on the 22nd. On the 23rd my son was home to let the delivery men into the playroom but without prior notice they showed up with my bed as well. I did not have knowledge of this change and did not clear my room of cash. I came home to a new bed and missing money. I filed a report but the men involved denied ever seeing money and since my son did not stay and watch them their is no eye witness so it turns out to be a he said she said incident. I was told by a third party company pottery barn hired for these matters that my problem is not with pottery barn but with the delivery company. I feel that I did not contract t g e delivery company but pottery barn did. I purchased furniture from pottery barn and this is an issue pottery barn should handle. I have emails and messages stating my bed was not to be delivered until the following day. It is not acceptable to change days without prior notice especially when it deals with a person's bedroom. My fault for leaving my son their to let them in for my daughter's bed but if they would have told me of the change I would have either declined the change or removed things from my room prior to delivery. The fact that pottery barn has not stepped up and given acceptable options to rectify this matter is extremely disappointing. I am saddened to say I will not purchase anything else from this company again because of this issue.
