I received a charge on my AT&T bill from ILD Teleservices Inc. It was for a collect call on 12/28 for 12 minutes and $17.57. I wasn't even in town on that date, I was in Chicago for christmas. I called the number on my bill and it was a company called Linksystems. According to Melissa, the customer service supervisor (or so she said) they receive documents from Mexico giving them information about calls made, they then forward that information to ILD, which is a billing clearing house, who then billed me.
When you call the 800 # you do not get ILD but Linksystems, a customer service center. When I asked who the owner/CEO was, I was told that they could not give me that information. This all makes me very curious, why so secretive? I also contacted the individual whose number was on my phone bill. The gentleman in Mexico knows no one in TX except for his daughter in Ft. Worth, and her number is completely different from mine, no chance of a typing error.
