I pre-ordered a PS4 game called Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward Collector's Edition on May 19,2015. The game was supposed to go on release on June 23,2015. I was pretty happy with Best Buy at first. They provided me an early release code and everything. However, during the release I noticed that my game did not arrived on the date it was supposed to be released. I contacted customer service and they said that they're still trying to ship out the games. I contacted them everyday regarding my pre-order and no representative was able to give me a definitive status on my order. I ended speaking to a supervisor and he mentioned to me that they're going to speed up the order process and my order is "under investigation". It's already been 2 weeks since the game's release and I still do not have the game. I spoke with another representative and they said that they are waiting for the manufacturer to send in more copies and they do not know when they will be arriving. I am utterly disappointed with Best Buy overall due to the lack of knowledge and reachability on specific details. They even gave me the option to cancel my pre-order. I was furious when they said that since I already invested so much trouble contacting them and since they cannot fix my problem, they're pretty much telling me to leave. I would've but since the product that I ordered was already out of stock everywhere else, I had no choice but to stay. But as of July 6,2015, I decided to cancel my pre-order due to the fact that I don't even know when I'll be getting the game. My excitement for the game has been diminished and it's not even worth the problem asking Best Buy customer service about my order status. Originally I planned on making my future game purchases on Best Buy but this specific event pushed me away from buying their products. It's totally not worth the trouble. Best Buy is by far one of the worst customer service I've encountered. I will never purchase any items from their store starting today and I will make sure to share my bad experience from pre-ordering items at Best Buy. I hope they go out of business.
