Sept 2015 — our small business was required by Shaw to upgrade the modem. Mid-day a quick service call to plug it in. He is gone and our system is completely dead. Not only have we lost internet, but our LAN crashes too. We run a 1 year old high power Cisco router, professionally installed. Several service calls to Shaw— 'the problem is on my end'. So next day my network tech comes in for 4 hours and no problem on my end. Shaw has no clue where problem was. Another day— they update modem firmware, fixed on their end. My cost for their update about $600 plus lost billings and AR time. Cancelled today. No credits, no apologies. Shaw internet 25 $85 per month. Telus internet similar $60 per month (first six months less $25). Shaw should get stuffed and quit pretending to know anything about internet service.
