Complaint / review text:
Buyers beware. The Room place has a very nice selection of furniture. But the quality is the problem.
I purchased a pub style dark wood table without the warranty (mistake on my part) Which this is a casual dining table. After a month of having this table. A cup of water was left on the table with condensation from the cup for about 5 minutes. The next day to my surprise I find a raised area about the size of a silver dollar. So I contacted the room place about this. A subcontractor was sent out to examine the damages.
Of course it was determined to be negligence on our part and the repairs are not covered. My complaint is how cheap the product is in the first place that water can penetrate through the sealant in the short amount of time and cause this much damage. I did have a estimate done for repairs from an outside furniture repair shop, the cost to fix the damages would be as much as I paid for the table when it was brand new with the proper sealant to prevent this from reoccurring. I have had a wood table before for years and never once had a problem like this. So consumers learn from my mistake just because it looks good it does not mean your getting quality furniture.
Beware of The Room Place.
