We purchased a Simmons Beautyrest King size mattress for our lakehouse in July. The bed has been slept in no more than 10 times and the side of the mattress is collapsing and bowing out. We paid $2200 for the mattress and have had it less than 2 months.
Weirs furniture in Southlake came out to look at the mattress and said that the mattress was clearly defective and they have seen at least 5 others with the same problem. They then stated that they would not honor the warranty because there was color change on the mattress. I suppose this is from my beige sheets.
We spoke with the supervisor and he said that if we cleaned the top he would look at the mattress again. We steam cleaned the mattress and there is no visible color changes. The same guy from weirs came out to look at the mattress and he stated that the other driver couldn't see the color changes but since he knew where it was he noticed them and would not honor the warranty.
