To whom it may concern,
I called Dish Network on 9/8/2010 and asked if I could get a second HD receiver for another TV. I currently have a HD DVR with second room viewing that’s not HD. However the signal going to that room through the cable is CRAPY! I now have a HD TV their and want better Picture, if they would of told me at the time of installation that that’s what the signal would look like I would of just got the second HD receiver then. So, the rep told me it would be an additional $7.00 a month. Ok. And there would be a $15.00 installation fee. Ok. Then He told there would be a 24 month commitment. I said WHAT! I asked why the 24 month commitment. He told me its part of the promotion. I asked, what promotion, I simply want to add a receiver to an existing service. I then asked him if they valued me as a costumer. He said yes but wasn’t going to go through with the order. I told him that I could get 3 rooms at DirecTV for FREE. He said there would be a 24 month commitment. I said I know, and I ask him again do you value me as a customer. I would think that in this Economy costumer service is first and foremost. If Dish Network would like to keep there existing costumers and not drive them to other net works. I simply want to have a better service to the second room that I am already paying for!
I tall to Dish network on 9/13/2010 and they told me they will not give me a second receiver without a 2 year signup. So I will be DISCONNECTING as soon as DIRECTV is installed.
