This is being submitted on behalf of my mother who is almost 80 years old and barely understands her credit card bill from Toys R Us - Chase card. After helping her, I discovered a charge on 10/24/07 for $59.99 from TLG*Hotline. Chase advisors were of little help to my mother on the telephone and simply gave her an 800 number to settle with them. They referred her back to Chase. The Chase advisor later told her that TLG contacted her by telephone and asked her to take credit card insurance. She told them no, but Chase indicated she said yes. I'm sure she would never authorize such charges since she hardly uses the credit card anyway. She's quite angry about the charge and now she has a late fee on top of it. How would TLG get her credit card number in the first place. Chase or Toys R Us has no right to share their account numbers and their telephone numbers with anyone!
She has incurred an unauthorized $59.99 charge on her Chase card and various late fees assessed.
