Ever since Oceanic Cable "upgraded" to the crappy Navig...

Ever since Oceanic Cable "upgraded" to the crappy Navigator system about 6-7 months ago, I've been having a very frustrating and irritating problem with my DVR KICKING OFF or magically deleting 80%-90% of my SCHEDULED RECORDINGS — which I then have to go and reschedule all of my recordings 8-10 times a day, and even then there's still no guarantee that my scheduled recordings will stick. And it happens with every model box I get: SA 8300, Cisco 8640 or 8642, or the Samsung box.

So, now the problem has gotten so bad that in the last 10-12 weeks I've had to call customer service (don't get me started on them) countless times and exchange my DVR box 13 times and have had 8-10 service techs come to my house to try and solve the problem. But every time they come out to service my DVR box or I talk to a foreman about the issue I get the same non-answer: I've never heard of this problem before therefore it's not a problem and there is no way to fix it. Although the foreman said he would send my problem up the chain (blowing smoke up my okole) and get back to me with an answer. It has now been 3 weeks since then and I have yet to hear a peep back from Oceanic Cable about the problem.

What makes me even more frustrated is the fact that I've done a lot of research on the problem I'm having and found that there are a lot of Time Warner customers — mostly on the mainland who are using the same boxes and equipment — that have been having this problem going back 3 years and there is still no answer or fix for it. Also, I've found out from the Cisco website — — that the "new" Cisco box (8640) has not been on sale for over 3 years by Cisco and has not had any maintenance updates or bug fixes for over 2 years, yet Oceanic Cable insist these boxes are the latest and greatest.

After the many problems I've had with Oceanic Cable I'm convinced that I need to cancel Oceanic Cable and go with Hawaiian Telcom (when they get around to my side of the island) or Direct TV or any other company that is not Oceanic Cable.
