The Orbitz website is so slow that while Google searching for a direct email address for Orbitz customer service, I instead found all of these Orbitz-complaint websites which load much faster!
I booked a Holiday Inn through Orbitz. The Holiday Inn was dirty, seedy motel quality at hotel prices. I did not stay a single night (out of the 4 I booked) and asked the hotel for a refund. They said that since I booked through Orbitz, there was nothing the hotel could do and I had to call Orbitz directly.
I called Orbitz and Orbitz said it was not their problem, since they successfully booked me a vacant room at the hotel I chose. They offered to transfer me back to the hotel to see if the hotel would give me a refund.
It's not Orbitz's fault that the hotel was awful. But because I booked through Orbitz, I am being punished with the full cost of a commitment to stay 4 nights (since I did not stay at the hotel a single night) because I booked through Orbitz. I will never use Orbitz again.
