Complaint / review text:
I had Qwest DSL for 7 years, beautiful! No problem.
Then CenturyLink (I think they should re-brand to CenturyKink) bought Qwest, and the nightmare started.
I have a home business, and in the past my Internet uptime was better than 95%. I had weeks where the browser was left on certain page, and weeks later, that page was still up.
So 7 years with Qwest, here is what I had them replace in 7 years of service:
- a Modem that got out of date (used it for 4 years)
- Updgrade to better Internet speed, and I ended up paying LESS than before
With CenturyLink, in the last 3 months alone:
- Replaced a modem (I still believe the modem was fine, but the tech support sucked, and that is their catch all answer to any internet issues... Defective modem)
- I called 10 times to complain about dropped internet service, slow internet service and line noise that is affecting the work.
I haven't had internet service for the last 4 days. I get about 10 minutes of Internet, and then it abruptly dropps for at least 20 minues. They have "a big issue with their bla bla bla in Arizona" and it is affecting me here in Washington State. Thank goodness for Starbucks free wi-fi access, I would have lost more than $1000 the last 4 days.
I am totally opposed to Comcast, from prior experience. So I am thinking Clearwire next?
