Complaint / review text:
I was a longtime subscriber to Sports Illustrated Magazine. I received two "promotional" books through the mail that I did not order. Assuming that the books were complementary I continued to pay my regular subscription bill, but had no idea that Sports Illustrated had billed me for the books that I received. Within two months of receiving the books I also was sent a number of delinquency notices for failure of payment, threatening to contact legal counsel to resolve the issue. Why would something be sent without an order request? Allowing the consumer to either accept the payment or waist their own time returning the item. I paid for the books and timed out my subscription but recently have been requested to resubmit my subscription. I would never want to knowingly be associated with a company who embodies such poor correspondence with customers.
