A while back I went to Gamestop to preorder the Kingdom Hearts 3D Dream Drop Distance: Mark of Mastery Edition. I was very specific that I wanted the MoM edition because I wanted all the extras (art, extra AR cards, 3DS cover, ect).
I was assured that everyone who preorders gets the extras.
Last week I went to get my preorder and was handed … the regular retail version. When I complained they made no effort to get me the correct product. One of the employees (neither of them the one that messed up my preorder) looked at me blankly and the other just shrugged and said it was sold out.
I returned the game and went home to try to get a replacement.
Everyone is sold out and the game is going for three times its retail price on ebay.
I gave up on getting the version of the game that I preordered and went to get the regular retail edition at Target because they were offering a gift card with purchase.
If you’re doing such a lousy job that I’d rather give my business to Target then you’re doing something wrong.
