So glad to find this site... Now I can vent my frustration with Garden Ridge! I went the day after Thanksgiving and purchased a Christmas tree and two small trees for my front porch.
That evening, I was unpacking them and was not satisfied with the front porch trees. I immediately repacked them and went back to the store. Being the Saturday after Thanksgiving, they were very busy. I patiently waited for my turn with Customer Service.
Finally, I told the clerk that I wanted to return these two trees that I purchased the evening before. They were in the original box and I had the receipt! The clerk checked them, checked them again, called someone over to go check the stock and finally informed me they would not be able to take them back. They were missing some sticker.
I reminded her that they were in the original box and I had the receipt. Again, she said they would not be able to return them. By now my frustration was beginning to show and I again told her that I just purchased them the night before. She then called a manager over and he too would not allow me to return them.
In my frustration, I flipped them out of the buggy and left the store in tears!!! I've never been so frustrated in my life.
Later, I found the name and address of the president of the company and wrote him a lengthy letter explaining my situation... And I have yet to hear from anyone. I will NEVER step foot in another Garden Ridge again!!!
