I have NEVER run across customer service that is so lame and inept as the people I have dealt with at Petco. They only seem to know how to handle a situation as it falls within the confines of the scripts that they are trained to use. I've dealt with both the call center and the 'live chat' employees and NEITHER one should be content doling out the type of customer service that they are. To take over 15 minutes each for both the call center and the 'live chat' to handle a very simple question regarding a palsrewards certificate that should have been in my account is ridiculous.inordinate amount of hold time on the call and the "live chat" response time made me wonder just how LIVE the other end was. I will not be using a Petco store for any of my future needs. I'll go elsewhere and even gladly pay more for a product than to subject myself to this company and its crappy service attitude. When I research online regarding complaints that others have had regarding Petco and it's lack of customer service, it's very apparent I'm not alone in the way I feel. I live in the city where the Petco Corporate Headquarters is located. I'll even go so far as to say I'll not attend another baseball game at the stadium as long as it's got the Petco name on it!
