Complaint / review text:
After six months of waiting for Hays Roofing to get to the house to put on a new roof on, the roof leaked. Hays blamed the leaking roof on the new gutters we had them install on the west side of the house, since we didn't have any on that side. The roof was leaking at the peak, around the new sky light that was replaced, and water was coming out of one of the light fixtures, witch didn't seem to bother him at all. The gutters drain properly and no way that the gutters were causing the peak of the roof or the sky light to leak.
Hays would not answer the phone or return phone calls, to come and look at the roof to see what the problem was. We were not the only people in our community with this problem, with him. After no calls returned or answered, we had called the insurance company to come look at the roof and to call Hays, since it was an insurance clame. After the insurance company called him, he called us finally, and took two weeks before he came and looked at the problem. This is when he told us the gutters are the problem and the other sky light needed replaced. He promised us it would be three days, then he would be back to install the sky light and new siding.
His crew was back in three days, installed the siding, no sky light, and late the night they had finish he came by to tell us how good his crew did and he needed to get his money. He never installed the sky light and did bill for all the work done including the sky light. It has been a three year battle with Hays Roofing
