Complaint / review text:
I was very unhappy this year with TurboTax. I was to be charged $19.99 to file my Federal Tax Return (when I chose to do their "free" return) and $39.99 to file my Florida State tax return (FLORIDA HAS NO STATE TAX RETURNS). I had to have a representative from the Facebook page for TurboTax issue me a "free code" to input after I explained what happened. Also one thing I noticed: if you don't choose to use Direct Deposit or have it put on a "NetSpend" pre-paid credit card, they would charge you and additional $29.99! That's blasphemy! Thank God I had a free code (Thanks, Stacy!). I felt misled.
One the "terms and conditions" page was THIS sentence:
"For any content that you submit, you grant Intuit a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable right and license to use, copy, modify, delete in its entirety, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from and/or sell and/or distribute such content and/or incorporate such content into any form, medium or technology throughout the world without compensation to you."
I originally wrote this review on the Intuit/TurboTax site, and of course they deleted it.
Couldn't TurboTax figure out that Florida has no State Tax to fill out? Why the $39.99 State Tax fee in the end when there was nothing to fill out in the State Tax section?
