This is the first time I have to deal with Samsung customer service, and I would have to say that it is less than desirable. I don’t think I will be buying another Samsung product again if this is what after sales service is like. Clearly despite having a product that appeals, it doesn’t have the customer service that you need and I’ll have to go back to Apple next time because they actually care about the customer.
I bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 and due to poor instructions accidently put the SD card in the SIM card slot.in order not to invalidate my warranty, I called the customer service who were helpful and advised that this happened all the time. (might want to improve the instructions). Advised that this was a quick fix and all I had to do was take it to the Samsung repair service close to home. I did this and was advised that they couldn’t do it on the spot and it would take 3 Days. Although I was less than impressed, I reluctantly accepted this and waited the 3 days.
After 3 days no reply so I called them and was then advised, that it can take up to 5 days. Again not impressed.
Called again and still not available and was advised that they needed to get a part. What part? They were just removing the SD card. Sounds like they damaged the SIM pins. Why wouldn’t the Service Centre have the part?
Once again I had to call, they never contact the customer, and it seems I am still waiting on the part.
Compare this to previous dealings with Apple and other vendors and they would have kept you informed and if they couldn’t fix it quick enough they just replace it.
I’m sorry Samsung you’ve lost me. The next time my Galaxy Tab has a problem, it goes in the bin and I will return to a more reputable dealer.
